Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. I am a qualified Secondary Science teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, working with students from Year 7 to Year 13. As Head of Physics for 10 years, I was deeply involved in developing schemes of work, designing effective revision strategies, and creating high-quality resources to support learning. Additionally, my experience as a board examiner has given me valuable insight into common exam pitfalls and what mark schemes are really looking for; knowledge that I use to help my students maximise their marks.
After tutoring alongside my teaching role for several years, I launched Huntingdon Science Tutoring in 2024 to provide expert Science tuition to students locally, across the UK, and worldwide. My tuition service is designed to be personalised, engaging, and confidence-boosting, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed.
I take great pride and enjoyment in creating high-quality, tailored resources that address each student’s specific needs, whether that’s stretching high achievers aiming for top grades or supporting students with EBSA who require a more nurturing approach. In addition to 1:1 tuition, I also offer small-group sessions, both online and in-person, as a more affordable option. I am a Bioanalytical Scientist with a Bachelor's degree in Human and Medical science and therefore have a very good understanding of Biology and Chemistry. Furthermore I have 6 months experience as a substitute teacher and a year's experience as a TEFL teacher. I have always enjoyed Sciences, English and Urdu language and feel they have always been my greatest academic skills. Due to my passion for the subjects and great understanding, I have been able to make them simpler and easier to understand for all my fellow peers ans siblings in the past. I am an experienced, qualified teacher and tutor of 20+ years. I am educated to master's level and have expereince teaching and tutoring primary and preparatory school pupils (ages 6 - 13). I can provide home learning support in all primary subjects as well as specialist English tuition. I have had success preparing pupils for SATs and entrance examinations for independent schools, particularly in Cambridge, (United Kingdom), though I am also familiar with Cheltenham schools. I tailor sessions to the individual child's interests and needs, and work with pupils and parents to meet their desired goals, whether these be to build confidence, to develop creativty or to begin entrance exam preparation in earnest. I usually set a short piece of homework at the end of each session and review this with the pupil in the following session.
