I do lessons online (skype, zoom and messenger) and face to face lesson only at my home if students live up to 20 miles. Biology, chemistry, physics and maths are my favourite subjects that I have been teaching and tutoring since 1990. Also I am a part time lecturer and researcher for genetics at the university since 2009 till present time. I am very eager to tutor as teaching is a great job. Maths is my tool to teach and use in the three sciences as it will help students succeed more. I teach first few 15 minutes or twenty minutes explaining the ideas then the rest of the hour I work with the students on practicing how to answer different type of questions regarding the ideas we have went over. It is not an hour or two to write only notes but to work with the students to be practical using the ideas in questions, how to apply them and why to learn about them. lesson should be interesting to attract students to love to learn and enjoy studying with me as well to leave the tutoring hour feeling there was a gain of knowledge, practice techniques to answer the questions and no need to go home and revise again and mostly to gain confidence. I have a natural knack for teaching with patience and care. I truly want to see my students improve and excel in their chosen subjects and I would always adjust my teaching styles to my students.
The three main subjects I cover are academic tutoring, creative art workshops and university admissions.
Subjects include English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for primary and secondary, GCSE and A-levels students, and engineering-related courses in addition to the previously listed subjects for undergraduates. I have had experience as a one-to-one and group tutor with science and engineering students studying for a School, GCSE, A-levels and undergraduate degrees and preparing them for their tests and final exams.
My experience as a tutor has helped me realize how important it is to make learning both interesting and relevant to the pupil. With previous tutees, I have used traditional and e-learning methods of learning together with games, projects, research, craft, investigative work and quizzes in order to make learning more enjoyable. I also have access to past examination papers and questions which are ideal in preparing pupils for the end of key stage tests.
I am currently a sixth form student. All my knowledge is still fresh in my mind and I know my way around exams which makes me a good tutor.
