The main aim of my lessons is to get the student enjoying what they are learning. Through teaching many students, I have found that the most enjoyable and engaging lessons are always the most productive for the student. As an accordionist, I have toured the world in my indie-folk band, performing at Glastonbury and writing a Top 40 Album. Whilst studying at The University of Manchester for my MusB Music degree, I specialised in classical piano performance, folk and contemporary accordion performance and composition. Although I am classically trained, I also have a passion for folk music from around the world. This mixture of interest gives my lessons a rounded approach to music learning. In December 2018 I was awarded the Yiddish New York Scholarship for performance; this allowed me to travel to New York to perform in an international Klezmer festival with some of the best Klezmer musicians in the world. I have lots of experience tutoring children between the ages of 5-13; my lessons are based around enjoyment as I believe learning should always be fun.
