I am a Qualified Physics teacher, currently teaching in a state school. My tutoring approach is flexible moulding my teaching style according to students understanding. I listen to students and encourage them to speak and ask questions. I believe the three main attributes that makes a fantastic teacher are a passion for the subject, a great sense of humour and consistent high expectations of all students. I have a great desire in working with young people of diverse backgrounds and helping them to reach their academic potential. I will first assess how much of a certain topic they know and then plan my session from this information. Homework is set after tuition for further independent work and then marked with quality feedback to the tutee. I have a progress checklist that I sign off once they have successfully achieved a certain level. My Tutees are given a copy for their own records.
