Hello, Wonderful Year 1 Parents!📚Is your child ready for the phonics screening check? If, not, have you thought of how you might get them prepared?
Parents often ask "What is the Phonics Screening Check?" and "Why is it important?" The Year 1 Phonics Screening Check is a test given to all Year 1 children in England. It assesses how well they have mastered phonics skills and measures their phonics knowledge. It is important because it can offer a glimpse at their future reading abilities. After all, without a strong phonics background, most children will struggle to go beyond a Year 1 reading level.
📆With the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check looming on the 10th of June, now is the prime time to ensure your child is on the track to phonics mastery.
I'm Kara, your phonics expert and my 🚀Year 1 Phonics Pals Class, beginning on the 30th of April is crafted to turn phonics learning into an enjoyable and effective journey. As a seasoned phonics expert, I'm here to support your child at every step. Our sessions will meet 2x a week on Tuesdays at 4:35 pm and Thursdays at 4:35 pm or Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:35 pm for a total of 12 lessons. Lessons are small groups of 4 children at £16/ lesson.
