This is an intervention course specifically geared to help students improve their current working grade at GCSE by one, two, even sometimes three grades in as little time as 12 weeks. We achieve this by ensuring that students clearly understand the linguistic and lexical requirements that each individual grade demands and we start with their current working grade. This may seem obvious but is a factor often overlooked or bypassed by teachers under pressure to cover a variety of language topic areas in only a couple of weekly contact lessons. Think smart, think sharp! Know exactly how to approach and answer each component of the writing and speaking papers so as to be absolutely sure of grabbing examiner attention, fulfilling their criteria and all importantly getting that grade or more higher. For the reading and listening comprehension papers, the lessons focus on styles of question where intervention is necessary to ensure added success. This could be target language questions, literary text or multiple choice answers questions for example.

Lesson 6: Coping successfully with the English into German translation question
Lessons 7-9: Understanding how to deal with the components of the speaking exam
