Edinburgh Napier University | Edinburgh | Classical Music | Bachelor | 1:2 |
I am a recent music graduate from Edinburgh Napier where I studied piano under Simon Coverdale. I love teaching and I find helping others greatly rewarding. I'm the Deputy organist at Fairmilehead Parish Church and am a freelance musician involved in various projects in piano and organ accompaniment, arranging music and as a singer. I have 10 years experience teaching piano to children and adults both in person and online. From 2021-22 I was a piano teacher at Morningside School of Music where I predominantly taught children aged 5-7. From 2019-20 I worked with young people aged 5-15 as an assistant music teacher at the Edinburgh Young Musicians music school. My primary aim in teaching is to allow students to enjoy music and learning. In my piano teaching, I adapt to individuals learning needs and interests and this has been very successful in creating positive student experiences. I have a holistic approach to lessons, which involve using a range of creative activities to enhance learning in a fun way. |
