At the Cheongye Kwan, practitioners base their training on minimal movements with maximum effect and speed. The system works by using any technique that an individual finds effective in any given situation, whether kicking, punching, locking or grappling, then flowing effortlessly between them. The Cheongye Kwan is referred to as a Philosophy and not a style.
Albert Einstein said "you cant change a system by using the same kind of thinking that was used to create it". "To improve, we must change and evolve. We must adapt and exceed what we are taught" - Barry C.

Hi, I´m Helena, I am a native German and I simply love tutoring. I am enthusiastic about languages, and I hope I can inspire you. At school, I learned 3 foreign languages and so I was also in the position of being a second-language learner myself and can relate to the struggles, but also the passion, of learning new languages. I would love to help you improve your German: whether spoken, written, improving your accent, or simply building your vocabulary. I also help with or conduct German translations. I will first find out the level of German you are currently at and what you intend to learn. I will measure your strengths and weaknesses and create a tailored lesson plan. The focus of my tutoring will be set on the area which is the most difficult for you to learn, whether that is grammar, vocabulary, conversation skills or other. I work with a great variety of materials, ranging from traditional documents and task sheets to films, articles, and language games. In my opinion, it is very important that you have fun during lessons, so I always try to come up with new ideas. I give my best talking slowly and understandably, so you will see progress quickly and benefit from the lesson. I have already recognized my passion for teaching as a German, Maths and English tutor and as a sports coach in Germany. More recently I began teaching German here in the UK both in person as well as virtually. To make sure that I support my students in the most effective way, I informed myself about the UK school system and the existing expectations regarding both curriculum and exams. Additionally, I could already gain some tutoring experience for international students. I have a great deal of satisfaction when I see students building confidence, becoming competent and being able to speak German more and more fluently. I am from a small town in Bavaria, the southern Germany. After my studies of health promotion and 3 years of gaining work experiences, I decided to do one year off and spend it in the UK. I love to travel and doing sports like playing soccer, going running and hiking.
