Are you worried about your child falling behind in maths? Are they concerned about not being able to reach their target grade? Do you want them to get off to a flying start come September? Then 1:1 tutoring is the answer.
Being involved in education for 10+ years, I have supported many students (children and adults), make tremendous progress in their studies and even exceed their target grade.
I am conversant with both AQA and Edexcel boards, and remote teaching via zoom and MS Teams.
No minimum sessions required and for your peace of mind, the first session is always free!
Limited slots are now available. For more info, drop me a message.

I studied for degrees in Mathematics at Keele University and Oxford University and have over 35 years teaching experience in Private Schools, Grammar Schools and Colleges.
I am also a tutor for Oxford Home Schooling and for The Open University, and am an approved tutor for tutorsandexams.
I have had articles published in "Mathematics in Schools" and several worksheets on teachitmaths.
I have provided private tuition also for over 35 years now, and have had literally hundreds of successful students credited to my record over that time.
I provide a very professional service and tutor not only those at school, but also to adults.
I pride myself in providing first class tuition through my years of experience and excellent subject knowledge. Having set many exams over the years I teach students precisely how to answer exam questions to maximise their marks.
I cater for all levels and all ages: Basic Maths, Grammar School Entrance Exams, 11+, 13+, SATs, GCSE, AS/A Level, Further Maths, etc.

After graduating from Hatfield Polytechnic in 1987, I spent many years in industry, working in the UK and overseas. I worked in various roles including project management and other senior management positions.
My two children were born in 2002 and 2004, and at that time I decided to change my career and applied to Southampton University in September 2005 to take Postgraduate Certificate in Education leading to Qualified Teacher Status, as I had always had a passion for education and thought now is the time for a change.
In 2007, I completed my induction as a teacher and promptly moved to a new school as a Second in Department in Mathematics. I have stayed at that school ever since, but my position has changed to where my role is now a combination of teaching and data management for the whole school. In this position, I have a clear picture of not only the mathematics that needs to be taught but how important that is to the future prospects of the students.
As I approach retirement, I am looking to continue teaching but in a tutoring capacity, as I really enjoy the feeling when a student understands a concept for the first time and looks forward to learning more.

For more than two years I have helped more than one hundred students in mathematics but also in physics, chemistry, biology, and english. I like teaching sciences and I prefer teaching mathematics. I know, most of you are afraid with mathematics. However, with a good method, and a good work as well, you will have good marks and maybe become the best in your classroom. My method is simple; we solve exercises together. I will be here to explain you everything you need to know and help you with the exercices. What is the goal of doing a lot of exercises ? If you think you can have good marks in mathematics only by studying the theory, you are wrong. The theory is important, I agree, but most of your time should be spend on exercises, you need to practice, again and again. I always use this principle in my life (Pareto principle) because I need to be super efficient and this is the best way to be. You can guess now, we will study mathematics together and you will also have some bonus tips about studies, because every module is different and you don't study mathematics like you study philosophy. As I said before, I am here to help you, and I am not worried for you; like every student I had, you will do it !

Currently working as a teacher of science in a renowned secondary school located in Hampshire, I am an advocate of active learning. Equipped with 3 years of teaching experience in the United Kingdom, I specialise in nurturing examination techniques. I do have in-depth knowledge of examination specifications and strive to teach the students to master the techniques needed to answer the examination questions.
I tutor chemistry and physics to Key Stage 3 and 4 students in Southampton, UK. For Key Stage 3 students, I find it important to make the lessons as enjoyable as possible. This is to cultivate the students' enthusiasm for science as a whole. GCSE science students do have trouble answering the questions in the examinations - the key words, the question words and the information needed to get the full marks in each questions have to be taught and practised.

I am an ACCA affiliate and a CIMA passed finalist with professional and voluntary experience in management accounting, purchase ledger, bookkeeping and taxation. During my most recent experience at Tripleplay as assistant management accountant, I was able to gain all round experience in management and financial accounting principles. I assisted the financial controller with the preparation of management accounts for all the inter companies within the group and carry out balance sheet reconciliations. And as we are a multi-currency operation, I dealt with many currencies. I also recently assisted with data migration to a new system. Prior to this I was working on a temporary contract at Poole Bay Holdings as an accounts assistant, where I used to carry out daily reconciliations of banking payments and posting of the relevant journals. Before this I was at Bowmill Engineering as purchase ledger clerk, I was able to gain all round experience in accounting, financial and taxation principles in the UK since I was assisting the accounts controller in preparing the management reports in addition to my purchase ledger duties. I was also involved in cash reconciliation and preparation of journals. I also assisted the chairman's secretary, where I would receive visitors and answer the telephone as and when required.
I am passionate aboutrnumbers and scored an A at my A levels for mathematics, hence the reason to get into accounting. I am very patient, methodical and organised and believe that my experience and qualifications will prove that i am capable of fulfilling my role as a mathematics tutor.
