We guarantee small classes – no bigger than 16 children in the main school and nine per class in Reception. We believe that this is integral to children establishing strong relationships with their teacher, getting the support they need, developing a strong work ethic and both maximising and achieving their potential.
Classes are made up of children from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, but the one thing they have in common is motivation. We do not compare children with one another; we challenge them against their own goals and next steps. This allows children to feel safe, be creative and be curious instead of managing anxiety about ‘not keeping up’. Happy, confident students are available to learn – they develop a rich and positive sense of who they are and can be.
Each class has a name:
Sprites (Reception) Pegasus (Year 1) Dragons (Year 2) Unicorns (Year 3) Griffins (Year 4) Minotaurs (Year 5) Centaurs (Year 6) Chalkers (Years 7-9)

A. offers families a competitive childcare and education solution for children from 3 months to 5 years. As soon as a baby receives their first immunisations he/she may start in the Nursery.
Our staff, who are highly qualified and experienced, will welcome you and your child at a series of settling sessions where we find out as much about your child as possible so we are able to plan for their interests and individual needs. At this point we arrange a key person for you to liaise with and this practitioner will look after your child’s needs and carry out their observations and assessments. This is done digitally through a safe system called eyLog. Practitioners are able to take photos, videos and audio observations and send them to you soon after they occur so you are constantly in touch with how your child is developing. As your child’s main educator, we would ask that you share observations from home with us in order to create your child’s ‘Learning Journey’. Next steps are then produced from all observations to provide opportunities and experiences to take your child to the next step in their development.
Assessments are carried out when children reach their 2 ½ year milestone which we suggest you share with your health visitor. Sometimes during this busy year when children are developing quickly, children may need extra support. Our SENDCO will intervene if required, who is trained to liaise with outside professionals to offer this support. Please see our Local Offer. At this setting we have several areas of expertise which are the ‘Bronze Autism Award’ and the ‘Eklan Communication Friendly Setting Award‘. We have undergone further training and assessments to gain these accolades which we feel have prepared us for our work with children and families. Staff are kept up to date with training and are regularly updated with first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding. Policies and procedures help us to maintain high quality childcare to aid the learning and development of every child who attends the Nursery and to prepare them for lifelong learning. At A. we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and are registered with Ofsted.

Choosing the right nursery can be a very confusing decision for parents.
To help you make your decision, we could tell you how colourful and stimulating our settings are; or we could tell you how experienced and caring our members of staff are. We could also tell you how we create a "home away from home" environment; or we could tell how we teach your child through play in all the different areas of learning.
At A., we understand that this is an anxious time for the parents so rather than just telling you, we would like to invite you to come and visit us, so that you can get a real feel for our settings.
Come see for yourself just how we make the magic of learning, fun!

At C. we aim to encourage and support children to use their creative thoughts and put them into practice through everyday play experiences. We want our children to explore and discuss ideas and feelings with us in an environment that is safe and loving.
The nursery is spread across 2 sites: Baby & Toddler and a separate Preschool for over 3’s, both equidistant from Hornsey Overground station and within a 5 minute walking distance from one another. Both are bright, promote free flowing play and have specialist learning areas run by qualified and experienced staff. We welcome you to come and visit our nurseries for a glimpse into our world. This will give you an opportunity to see the children and their teachers busy at work and play.

Camden Community Nurseries are a affordable quality childcare and education.
Camden Community Nurseries is a non profit organisation that runs three nurseries in North London for children ranging from three months to five years.
We provide a warm and caring environment, a place to explore learning through play, good healthy fresh food cooked on the premises and all at an affordable fee.
We only employ qualified early years' practitioners with some staff qualified in Forest School so they can teach children about nature through play in the nursery gardens and local parks.
Our three nurseries each have their own style and approach whilst meeting the high standards set by the organisation and its response to the latest requirements set out by the Early Years' Framework.
All of our nurseries are open from 8:00am to 6:00pm, 50 weeks of the year, making them ideal for working parents.
CCN also offers school holiday care for children who previously attended our Nurseries up to the age of 7 years.

Kids' activities Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
After teacher training I spent a year on supply working at various schools on short and long term placements in a variety of subjects. During one placement at a pupil referral unit I was offered a full time position and worked here for 1 year with students with behavioural difficulties and special needs. I then moved to Frederick Gough school in scunthorpe again to fill a position as a teacher of ICT I am now in my 9th year of teaching. After 2 years I secured a position as a head of year and have worked with all age groups from 7 to 11 in this time providing pastoral care and coordinating the learning over over 270 students. I Have just completed my NPQSL (National professional qualification for senior leaders) and hope to make the step to assistant head in the very near future. My relationship and rapport with all students is excellent and I am to help them achieve their best, whatever that may be.
