As parents ourselves we know how difficult it is to find the right day nursery in Colchester, Essex for your children. The purpose of our website is to give you as much information as we can in order that you get to know The C. as quickly as possible. It is extremely important that you are made aware of our policies and philosophies so that you can feel confident in the choice, which you are about to make for your child.
The C. and Pre School have 3 branches proving childcare in Colchester, Essex. One situated at The Essex Golf & Country Club at Earls Colne, Colchester, Essex, CO6 2NS, which gives parents easy access to the A120 / A12, our second, brand new, purpose built nursery, our Cheeky Monkeys Colchester branch which is situated at William Harris Way (Off Berechurch Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 8WJ) and our latest addition, our C. & Pre School – CI, based alongside the Colchester Institute in Sheepen Road, Colchester, Essex, CO3 3LF.
C. and Pre School, Essex, provides professional day care for children from birth to 8 years of age, in a relaxed and happy atmosphere that is both safe and secure. In this supportive environment your child will be able to learn through play and follow a curriculum that will help them to develop to their full potential at our Day Nursery.
In addition, we also provide Before School and After School Clubs, Local School Drop off and collection, School Holiday Clubs as well as Forest Schooling and Montessori practice.
Please take the time to read through the site and, if you wish to know more about our Day Nursery, we would be pleased to arrange a meeting or send a prospectus for any of our day nurseries covering Essex.
We look forward to being of assistance.
Yours faithfully

Kids' activities Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
After teacher training I spent a year on supply working at various schools on short and long term placements in a variety of subjects. During one placement at a pupil referral unit I was offered a full time position and worked here for 1 year with students with behavioural difficulties and special needs. I then moved to Frederick Gough school in scunthorpe again to fill a position as a teacher of ICT I am now in my 9th year of teaching. After 2 years I secured a position as a head of year and have worked with all age groups from 7 to 11 in this time providing pastoral care and coordinating the learning over over 270 students. I Have just completed my NPQSL (National professional qualification for senior leaders) and hope to make the step to assistant head in the very near future. My relationship and rapport with all students is excellent and I am to help them achieve their best, whatever that may be.
