I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. I am qualified and experienced in all aspects of SEND.
My subject is English Language, and I am able to teach pre entry to level 2.
My learning journey began with teaching ESOL and I have a level 3 in this field. I then progressed to do a part time PGCE and during this two year period, I did a placment within an SEND college. Following this, I continued to work in the same college for 7 years, before having children.
I have since worked with various agencies and worked as a freelance tutor. I have worked with a variety of leaners with differing needs. I have delivered sessions to profoundly and multiple disabled learners, learners with ADHD, Autism, SEMH diffculties and dyslexia.
I like to use a Mindfulness approach to learning when needed. This is particularly useful for learners who struggle with anxiety.
This approach is embedded into learning experiences and this helps with setting leaning goals, both short and long term.
This is done in a variety of ways. It may be used sublimely, for eg: relaxing music is used in the background. Or, specific strategies can be introduced to the learner. Mindfulness helps with a whole range of learning difficulties, and with great success.

This wider experience helps me to give students a relevant glimpse of how their present studies can be applied in the wider world. I have over 9 years successful experience tutoring students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. The subjects I teach include: - • 11 plus KS2 -Maths, English & Verbal reasoning preparation • Science – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Mathematics (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Computer Science (Key Stage 3-4) • Design & Technology (Key Stage 3-4) I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a strong passion for teaching. I have gained experience working with whole class groups and individual pupils. I have also had the opportunity to work those with various additional needs which has enabled me to improve my skills in areas such as communication, behaviour management and maintaining a flexible approach to teaching styles to meet individual needs. I have supported hundreds of students, and their parents or carers, to identify strategies that enable the attainment above and beyond their subject target grades.
Tutoring Approach
My mission is to make a positive difference in the community’s children's lives through Education. I aim to encourage an enthusiasm for lifelong learning, for students of all ages, by unlocking learning potential and building confidence. Prior to the commencement of tutoring, I offer a free consultation session & free assessment to review the exact level of the students. Then with Students and their parents/carer, we review the current academic report with empathy and listen to the concerns surrounding the subject, including barriers to learning and discussion of appropriate learning styles. I subsequently construct an individual syllabus-specific course of study, aimed at achieving above and beyond the target grade. I provide regular feedback to parents/carers to ensure complete transparency and offer extra hours of tutoring if needed to cover the syllabus or exam preparation.

Introduction about me:
In 2020, I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in BSc Geography. During my degree, I became extremely passionate about the subject of geography and therefore I have gone into the world of teaching to teach this amazing subject.
My experience teaching:
I recently graduated from the University of York studying my PGCE in geography teaching. Despite the disturbances throughout the last year, I have had an excellent experience teaching both in schools and online, working with a variety of abilities amongst children. I have taught geography to years 6-11 and have had experience observing A-Level geography teaching
Due to the A-Levels and the modules I took at university, I am also available to tutor and teach GCSE, KS3, KS2 and KS1 maths.

At the Cheongye Kwan, practitioners base their training on minimal movements with maximum effect and speed. The system works by using any technique that an individual finds effective in any given situation, whether kicking, punching, locking or grappling, then flowing effortlessly between them. The Cheongye Kwan is referred to as a Philosophy and not a style.
Albert Einstein said "you cant change a system by using the same kind of thinking that was used to create it". "To improve, we must change and evolve. We must adapt and exceed what we are taught" - Barry C.
