I have been playing guitar for 16 years and teaching music for 3 years. I have been involved in a variety of different bands and ensembles within that time. My main focus throughout this time has been all kinds of rock music but I also have lots of experience in metal and acoustic singer/songwriter styles. I qualified from Leeds College of Music, gaining a 2:1 degree in Music Production and Performance, and possess a passion for music and teaching. I have recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Music at Edge Hill University, achieving a Distinction in the process.
I take a very professional approach to teaching and I usually like to start the student off with a song to allow them to enjoy playing immediately. No matter what their ability I find a student is always able to learn a song they know and with this approach they progress much faster. I can take you all the way from a very beginner through to advanced levels. I take a practical and direct approach and would expect the student to be involved from the very beginning.

Hello!
My name is Caroline and I’m an MFL teacher at Turton School in Bolton where I currently teach French and Spanish. I’ve also taught German and Latin. I have successfully taught students through their GCSE course and currently teach some of the A level course. I love language teaching and am always striving to improve my practice. With this in mind I am also responsible for training our trainee teachers which I really enjoy.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who feels they need extra support, guidance or practice at any stage of French learning. Please feel free to message me to discuss your needs- I am flexible and provide many of my own resources as well as being able to work around whatever your requirements are.
Thanks!

I was born and raised in Germany. I went to Australia for nearly two years before moving to England in 2017. I gained vast experiences throughout my life so far. I currently work as a EAL Learning Mentor in a seconadry school in Lancashire and know what it's like to learn a new language. I teach and work with 120 EAL pupils from different countries all over the world. But I also run my own German after school club in my school and the pupils and staff love it. I do miss Germany sometimes and thought it would be a nice opportunity to teach someone else a bit of German.

My name is Kiera and I always struggled in primary school to focus and understand in ways which the teachers were teaching. I never understood why untill finding out that I'm dyslexic, which made sense why I learnt in different ways to my friends. Hence why now I have decided to help others that might feel the same, as I know what it feels like so being able to use my own experience to help children to feel more confident in themselves and their abilities in maths and English then let's go on that adventure together.
Why am I only just starting to tutor?
I have decided to start tutoring as I was working in a nursery as a practitioner. I really enjoyed teaching the preschoolers their phonics, numbers, problem solving skills and encouraging mark making to progress to start learning how to write letters.
I am currently on maternity leave and have time to dedicate to teaching which is something I am aiming towards in the future by training to be a primary school teacher.
Please contact me if you have any questions about anything I'd be more than happy to help.
Thank you, Kiera
