I am a first year Physics student at the University of Kent. I have always enjoyed teaching and academia, so much so that my dream in life is to become a theoretical physicist after graduation. As a result, one of my biggest passions in life is to contribute to young mind’s understanding of the universe through science and mathematics. I have outstanding organisation skills, which allow me to be flexible in my schedule, and use my time as effectively as possible. Moreover, I love meeting new people which would make an excellent teacher, as I am able to connect with people comfortably.
I am fluent in English and Persian, with conversational skills in Russian and Arabic. At school, I set up a maths club for ages 5 to 6 and have participated in many science and debating competition, which includes a first place at a science fair for building holograms. I have also enjoyed competing in UKMT and Kangaroo challenges, as well as taking Open University courses to further educate myself on various topics.

Do you want to learn Japanese from scratch? Do you want to improve your Japanese with fun?
Let me help you. I am a qualified teacher with extensive experience in teaching and comprehensive knowledge of Education. I have completed Two MA and PhD graduate studies in Japan and the UK. I have taught Japanese at a prestigious grammar school in Kent.
With a long-term teaching career, I know how to deliver an effective lesson to improve students’ performance.
In my lesson, you can speak Japanese as much as you want! Because practice is the key to successful learning and a shortcut to becoming a fluent speaker. Even if you have full knowledge, it could be practically pointless when you cannot use it in a real situation.
I deliver pacey, articulate, and intensive lessons with lots of fun elements. I can customise lessons depending on your goal, interest, and level so that the format will vary. In 2024, absolute beginners are very welcome, too!
Absolute beginner course has about 48 lessons /30 minutes (=24 lessons/ hour). I mainly use my handmade presentation slides created for standardised tests based on the grammar school's curriculum. You can gradually increase vocabularies and practise grammar in an organized way. When you complete this course, you will be able to speak, read, write, and listen to basic Japanese.
I am available before 5pm on weekdays, but this does not always apply to every student. So, please contact me to find out the detail.
Your first lesson is about 20 minutes, which is set for getting to know each other.
Lesson duration:
30 mins or 40 mins
It depends on you. The platform is Zoom.
For face-to-face lesson, I am available morinig and early afternoon.
If any questions, pleaes feel free to ontact me.
For my students' review and to know about me more

I recently retired as the Head of biology and love looking at ways to motivate learners and understand how we learn. I try to be an encourager when I teach and love working with people to help them achieve their goals. I don’t just teach my subject as the purple biologist but work with people in a mentoring capacity to help them learn. I have written a revision book on Amazon called Power revision.
I have a degree in biology and a master's in educational management. It was during my master's degree that I did a lot of work on motivation. I have developed a study skills program to help improve learning and motivation. I always love learning, and during the covid lockdown, I worked hard to discover new things about online learning. I would now consider myself an experienced online teacher and by using many of the online resources available I feel I deliver a sound online learning experience. With exam classes, I will focus on what now needs to be done to ensure a good grade is achieved. My site thepurplebiologist has areas to help with your studies and has testimonies from students I have helped.
This is an email I received from a previous student.
I wanted to offer my genuine and most sincere thanks for the top-notch education I have received from you over the last three years. I have learned so much, and that is all down to you! You put so much effort into teaching, and are so engaging, and have always pushed me, and developed me so much as a biologist, and I cannot thank you enough! From escape rooms to quadrats on the field by the chapel, my education has been so engaging, and an absolute pleasure! Thank you.

I am an award-winning writer/editor who has been working professionally since secondary school. Along with my studies in English and Creative Writing at the University of Plymouth, I served as a contributing editor at humour channel Dropout (ironic). My work has been published in The New York Times (online, print, and international editions), The New Yorker, Vice, The Guardian, The Onion, IGN, The www.*** Club, Inverse, Collider, and many more. My humour writing was featured in Slate's "Best Comedy" year-end lists in 205, 2016, 2017, and 2019. I also appeared in Apple's "Best Entertainment Writing of 2019" shortlist, and won the Daily Telegraph's "Young Sportswriter of the Year" award in 2009.
After serving as a private tutor in New York and participating in the city's Big Brother Big Sister (BBBSNYC) program, I returned to the UK to continue to write and help current students of all ages grow in their learning of English Language, English Literature, and Creative Writing. Whether you're prepping for an exam, need a boost of encouragement with homework, or simply want a deeper understanding of both the demands of the curriculum AND the joy of the subject, I am committed to helping. Success will be yours!
