Testimonials :-
David Pollard, Airdire
When my son (11) wanted to learn to play the guitar we looked around for a tutor to teach him and are very happy to have found Campbell. I could write this review myself explaining how his playing has developed and progressed over the last 9 months and how good Campbell is at encouraging him etc. However since it is my son who is getting the lessons I asked him instead and he said: "playing guitar is cool, but playing with Campbell is much more fun. We would definitely recommend Campbell.
Audrey Tweedie, Airdrie
Campbell is pleasant, patient and takes time with his students, nothing is ever a bother, my nine year old shouts Campbell's here the minute she sees his car, he is also teaching my 50 year old husband, and we have nothing but praise for him .
K. Hart, Newarthill
Campbell has taught my son from the day he had his first Guitar. My son is not only able to play with confidence but at a level where if wanted has the ability to take on his own students at only 17years old.
A. Dunn, Carluke, Wishaw
Campbell has been teaching my son for almost two years. Campbell is very professional and enthusiastic. My son enjoys his lesson very much. Campbell is good at motivating and encouraging my son to practice. I highly recommend Campbell as a guitar tutor.
A. Campbell, Airdrie
We have had Campbell as our daughter's tutor for over six months and he has helped her a great deal. He seems very thorough in his approach and more importantly he shares his love of the guitar and music and has increased her confidence no end.

For adults who may wish to return to music practice or indeed start from scratch to learn new and life enhancing skills, there are groups and individual lessons in a wide range of instruments at our centres in Paisley and Barrhead.
For young children, we offer a fun way to enjoy learning about music. Based on the Kodaly approach and using up to date teaching resources, we matches the age and preferences of the child to their practice.

One of the great joys of playing an instrument is to become able to capture the emotive force that the artistes you so admire can evoke.
Discover how they do it. What scales they use, how they create their sublime musical phrases, what their vibrato is like, what ornamentation they favour...
No doubt you want to get a foot in the door fast.
Learn some power chords and play along with your favourite records in the first lesson.
Don't feel abashed about lacking any previous experience. It's not neccessary. I've taken many adult total beginners up to public performance level.
Music theory, Rock, Pop, Acoustic Guitar and Bass Grades.
You don't have to do them but it's nice to be able to guage your progress and if you're hoping to do a GCSE in music or go to a music college being able to show your credentials can be essential to getting an audition.
My students have a 100% pass rate across 30 years.

Now I do all my lessons on line , either by Skype , Zoom or any other equivalent .It is cheaper for the pupil, no travelling, so no fuel used, and easier all round as the timings can be changed easily on either side, to suit any sudden problems.
I teach reading music as a given , right from the beginning. Either classical or acoustic but no specific styles, i. e. country, folk , blues etc. No, I will teach you to play properly with tutor books and additional material and with the knowledge gained you will eventually be able to play in whatever style suits you, but I will not teach a style at the lesson.
Having 60 books of guitar music published in 5 different publishers , and having played, arranged, transcribed and written all forms of guitar music since my teens , I am uniquely equipped to teach anyone whether a beginner, or an advanced player or any level in between.
I am often asked to transcribe unpublished classical guitar recordings onto sheet music which I will do happily for a fee, should anyone be interested.
I now have my own classical guitar sheet music and CD review site at www.allclassicalguitar.co.uk and so my working life is completely music based.

Hello! I'm Freya B., i'm 17 year old musician from the UK. I have around 5 years of live music experience playing with a handful of bands across the country on a rosta of musicians. I have also currently been kindly selected to be a part of Gibson Guitars 2 year G3 scheme after applying last year which is a course to assist younger musicians within the industry starting out. I have experience teaching guitar and music in general and overall just enjoy what i do and im keen to inspire a new generation of guitarists to start their musical journey. 🙂

Here are some people's comments on my lessons.
"My daughter loves her guitar lessons with Mikey and is now progressing well with Nat 5 Music. His relaxed vibe, patience and humour makes lessons fun and inspiring. We would highly recommend him."
We’ve loved having Mikey as our guitar teacher for over 4 years now.
He’s patient, knowledgeable, flexible and very easy going - even our dog loves it when he comes :-)
He’s currently teaching one of our 16 year old boys (since age 12)and has helped him with everything from Ed Sheeran to Jimmy Hendrix to a bit of Bach (the latter for a school assignment).
We would definitely recommend him 👍

I have a lifelong passion for music and a range of professional experiences in the industry such as performing on a cruise ship, depping for a professional function band, performing as a solo covers act, running my own music production business and working as a multi-instrumental solo artist. Achieving my degree in Professional Musicianship from BIMM Bristol and in the years since, making money as a Musician has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience that I would love to share with aspiring musicians.
As a multi-instrumentalist playing Guitar, Bass, Drums and Vocals I believe I can take a well-rounded approach to teaching. I can help students thrive in learning how to play their instrument, gain knowledge about music theory related to their instrument, seek musical opportunities, and help them achieve their musical grades, especially as I recently went through the process of achieving a distinction in Grade 8 vocals, my former weakest instrument.

I am an audio engineer and guitarist, with over four years of experience teaching. I believe the best approach to teaching is that the student should always leave the lesson having a good understanding of what was taught in the session.
