As a registered member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors (R. G. T), Jimi S. is the main tutor and was R. G. T Guitar Tutor of the Year 2005, finalist 2006 and finalist 2007. S. Guitar Studio offers certified qualifications from Grades 1-8 Electric, Bass & Acoustic Guitar, ALCM, DipLCM & Diploma (LLCM), teaching, seminars & workshops on techniques, styles and theory come together to form the professional approaches to the guitar and music.
All equipment is supplied, which includes; all guitars, electric & acoustic (Fender, Takamine, Godin, Ibanez, etc). Guitar amplification (Mesa Boogie, Cornford, Fender, Roland & AER), guitar leads, stationary, printed handouts, backing tracks, tablature & music, plectrums, etc, are all provided for you here at the studio!!

Jimi has been awarded RGT Guitar Tutor of the Year 2005, finalist 2006 & 2007. He has travelled throughout the UK & Europe doing gigs, master class seminars, workshops, RGT workshops and tuition. Appearing at guitar shows around the UK. Now I do all my lessons on line , either by Skype , Zoom or any other equivalent .It is cheaper for the pupil, no travelling, so no fuel used, and easier all round as the timings can be changed easily on either side, to suit any sudden problems.
I teach reading music as a given , right from the beginning. Either classical or acoustic but no specific styles, i. e. country, folk , blues etc. No, I will teach you to play properly with tutor books and additional material and with the knowledge gained you will eventually be able to play in whatever style suits you, but I will not teach a style at the lesson.
Having 60 books of guitar music published in 5 different publishers , and having played, arranged, transcribed and written all forms of guitar music since my teens , I am uniquely equipped to teach anyone whether a beginner, or an advanced player or any level in between.
I am often asked to transcribe unpublished classical guitar recordings onto sheet music which I will do happily for a fee, should anyone be interested.
I now have my own classical guitar sheet music and CD review site at www.allclassicalguitar.co.uk and so my working life is completely music based.

One of the great joys of playing an instrument is to become able to capture the emotive force that the artistes you so admire can evoke.
Discover how they do it. What scales they use, how they create their sublime musical phrases, what their vibrato is like, what ornamentation they favour...
No doubt you want to get a foot in the door fast.
Learn some power chords and play along with your favourite records in the first lesson.
Don't feel abashed about lacking any previous experience. It's not neccessary. I've taken many adult total beginners up to public performance level.
Music theory, Rock, Pop, Acoustic Guitar and Bass Grades.
You don't have to do them but it's nice to be able to guage your progress and if you're hoping to do a GCSE in music or go to a music college being able to show your credentials can be essential to getting an audition.
My students have a 100% pass rate across 30 years.

Having taught music privately for over a decade whilst also furthering my own education, I have worked with students of various ages and abilities. Whether it is primary school students picking up an instrument for the first time, helping a sixth form student with their application to a music school or an adult who is looking to round out their playing, I am able to structure lessons to whatever the student’s needs are.
I have a formal music education, graduating from The Academy Of Contemporary Music in 2016 with a BA Honours Music Performance degree under tutors such as Giorgio Serci and Frank Tontoh, with experience of a wide variation of musical situations that I use to inform my teaching such as: big band jazz orchestra (NYJO), musical theatre, pop/rock groups, solo instrumentalist, lounge singer, classical/contemporary vocal accompaniment, live event manager and studio engineer assistant.
With my education and experience, I am a great teacher for students at any stage of their musical journey. I love seeing students progress and take particular pleasure when students carry on learning even after our lessons have finished (when they may to go university for example).

I have been playing guitar for 16 years and teaching music for 3 years. I have been involved in a variety of different bands and ensembles within that time. My main focus throughout this time has been all kinds of rock music but I also have lots of experience in metal and acoustic singer/songwriter styles. I qualified from Leeds College of Music, gaining a 2:1 degree in Music Production and Performance, and possess a passion for music and teaching. I have recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Music at Edge Hill University, achieving a Distinction in the process.
I take a very professional approach to teaching and I usually like to start the student off with a song to allow them to enjoy playing immediately. No matter what their ability I find a student is always able to learn a song they know and with this approach they progress much faster. I can take you all the way from a very beginner through to advanced levels. I take a practical and direct approach and would expect the student to be involved from the very beginning.
Hello! I'm Freya B., i'm 17 year old musician from the UK. I have played guitar for just over 10 years now, I studied music BTEC for 2 years and achieved Distinction * + Distinction Level 2 in the course. I have around 5 years of live music experience playing with a handful of bands across the country on a rosta of musicians. I have also currently been kindly selected to be a part of Gibson Guitars 2 year G3 scheme after applying last year which is a course to assist younger musicians within the industry starting out. I have experience teaching guitar and music in general and overall just enjoy what i do and im keen to inspire a new generation of guitarists to start their musical journey. 🙂

I am a passionate music trainer with six years of extensive experience. One of my specialties lies in introducing young children to the wonders of music.
I am an audio engineer and guitarist, with over four years of experience teaching. I believe the best approach to teaching is that the student should always leave the lesson having a good understanding of what was taught in the session.
I can teach a wide range of music genres like pop, rock and more! Any age is welcome, I teach up to an intermediate level. I have 2 years of tutoring experience, with my client base sticking with me, as I keep the lessons engaging, and I encourage well!
I have always been passionate about music. That passion has allowed me to travel the world, and I have met the greatest friends I could have hoped for all because of our shared interest in music.
