Hello!
My name is Caroline and I’m an MFL teacher at Turton School in Bolton where I currently teach French and Spanish. I’ve also taught German and Latin. I have successfully taught students through their GCSE course and currently teach some of the A level course. I love language teaching and am always striving to improve my practice. With this in mind I am also responsible for training our trainee teachers which I really enjoy.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who feels they need extra support, guidance or practice at any stage of French learning. Please feel free to message me to discuss your needs- I am flexible and provide many of my own resources as well as being able to work around whatever your requirements are.
Thanks!

I have been tutoring for 8 years both 1 to 1 and in After-School clubs to children ranging from reception to year 7. I have experience working with SEN children and work as a TA in primary schools. I also have over a years experience in tutoring beginners French to adults via zoom.
My tutoring approach depends on the student, I am a firm believer that one box does not fit all. Everyone is an individual and learns in different ways and I adapt every lesson to each student and how they learn, through structured lessons, games or a mix of the two. I always aim to make my lessons fun whilst still being educational and pushing my student to reach their full potential. Each student learns at a different pace and if you have a set time frame for your goal I will recommend a suitable amount of lessons I think will be needed or if you are learning in a more relaxed time frame we can adapt as we go.
I give options as to if I will set homework, not everyone has time for it and I appreciate that and some need it as additional structure to their lessons and I am happy to provide it in that case.
Every individual has the ability to learn, with the right tutor you can go far and I hope that I can be the one to help you reach your goals. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

Many applicants for professional courses (such as the PGCE) may not have a GCSE pass or a recognised equivalent qualification in the required subjects: English, Mathematics and/or Science. DPPS offers online one-to-one or group tuition to help you prepare for these Tests. D. is a specialist education services provider. Currently, it provides two services. Firstly, tuition by expert and validated tutors, many of whom are experienced and senior examiners. Secondly, help to School-centred initial teacher training providers, or SCITTs, in delivering Equivalency Testing.
