I am a Creative Vocal/Violist working as a performer and Music Teacher in South London. I have over 10 years experience as a violist and vocalist and completed part of my education at the BRIT School for performing arts where i studied for 2 years. I give lessons online and in person. I have played professionally in an Orchestra and a quartet with both classical and modern music and love to perform vocally with my band. I have taught both in the classroom and private lessons to younger and older students and i'm now looking to continue passing on my knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn!
My lessons would include both the technical and theoretical side of playing strings, both classical and modern. I would bring fun and passion to an instrument generally overlooked and encourage the love for a beautiful art form. I would teach with warm ups first, then move to pieces trailered for each students individual goal whilst incorporating knowledge gained from my experience in the field. I teach beginner to intermediate and offer rockschool & ABRSM exams training.

Hello! My name is Greg - I'm a tutor of Music, and I study Music at the University of Cambridge. I hold a 95/100 Distinction in Classical Voice, and A*A*AA grades at A-Level. My future aspirations are centred around teaching/lecturing in music, as well as long-term professional vocal coaching. I'd quite happily describe myself as a flexible tutor: whatever level you happen to be, and whatever it is within music you'd like to accomplish, I will only be too happy to accomodate your interests and craft personalised lessons for you. Ultimately, tutorial structure and content will depend entirely upon your personal goals: Vocal coaching typically focuses initally on voice health and stability, then branches out into techniques specific to your genre/style of choice (Pop, Rock, Musical Theatre, Classical, etc.). Academic music tuition tends to be centred around a given specification for a GCSE/A-Level course, but of course this is down to personal preference. My approach in this respect is to create a sturdy foundational knowledge of the appropriate content: if your course centres around Western Classical Tradition, we will cover the intricacies of functional harmony and symphony structure; if your course is concerned with Modernist Post-Romantic developments in the 20th century, we'll cover aleatoricism and serialism. If you take more of an interest in non-course specific composition and music theory, our study will initially focus around existing works - this will give way to completion of exercises in harmony and orchestration which eventually culminates in independent composition of original pieces. Essentially, it's up to you - shoot me a message and we'll discuss whatever it is you'd like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you!

Have you always dreamed of lighting up a stage with your singing prowess? Do you have a great pitch and want to truly learn how to master it?
As a vocal coach and performer, I’m here to help you make the most of your potential. I fell in love with singing from a very early age and began my journey learning about musical theatre, and later moving to folk, rock and other contemporary styles. I have been singing and performing in theatre productions as well as in bands for over 30 years – and I’ve loved every exhilarating minute of it! My goal is to inspire a new generation of talented vocalists to perform with confidence and joy.
For the last six years, I have been sharing what I’ve learned to eager students passionate about singing. I love helping my students to release their voices and become the rock star performers they were born to be. I cater to all musical styles and genres and I love teaching students from many backgrounds. Through our sessions, you will learn techniques and tips that help you to become established as a powerful singer with your own personal style. I love watching my students transform from nervous would-be performers to fearlessly taking over a stage and commanding an audience with a remarkable voice. Our sessions will be lively, energetic, and rooted in authenticity. We will move at a pace that’s comfortable with you and I will ensure that you have a good grasp of the foundational techniques before we progress to the next level. So, whether you’re an aspiring and curious singer or you already sing but want to learn how to control your vocal range, I would love to teach you. Please contact me for a detailed chat about your goals and abilities and we’ll take it from there. Hope to hear from you soon!

I've had a multifaceted life since birth - my parents moved me immediately from Russia to the United States, then ten years later to Geneva in Switzerland. Finally at 20 I made my own decision and moved to the UK to pursue music and most of all, witness the comedic and cultural clout of the British Isles I had so long admired. Here, I have managed pubs, reviewed live gigs, finished a degree and several diplomas, worked as a financial journalist, done a brief stint as a court reporter, played rock/jazz/pop shows, and much more. I am now ready to impart the knowledge I gathered in my twenties to whomever may wish to listen!
I take any job I do extremely seriously and would make sure to plan the lesson in line with your needs.

I am an Oxford graduate (Worcester College), with a degree in Literae Humaniores - Latin and Greek language and literature, as well as ancient and modern philosophy (BA 2013, MA 2016) I am also a professional classical singer and conductor, active around the UK. I am a Lay Vicar at Chichester Cathedral, where I sing professionally with the cathedral choir. Friendly, approachable, and professional, I am passionate about teaching and helping people to develop their knowledge and skills.
My business, JB Tutoring, operates from Chichester. I offer teaching and tutoring in singing, voice use, music, classical languages and classical literature. I also tutor online, so I am able to take on students from anywhere. I teach and tutor my academic subjects at a variety of levels, from pre-GCSE to undergraduate and master's level, and my students most often go on to receive A*s and 1st Class results in their examinations. I am also happy to tutor younger pupils towards Common Entrance examinations. I have experience in preparing students for Oxbridge Admissions, and offer such preparation for Classics and related subjects (including Archaeology and Philosophy - please send me a message to discuss this further). I am perfectly happy to take on casual learners - please get in touch to discuss this more.
My language teaching is based on the way in which classical languages are taught at Oxford, and I believe in the development both of analytical language skills and an instinct for the art of translation. For GCSE and A-Level, it is important for vocabulary and grammar to be secure, so I encourage a rigorous approach to language, but one that is interesting. I ask for a tutee to try their hardest - as long as they do, they will be met with an enthusiastic, patient, and understanding tutor, a tutor dedicated to his teaching and his pupil. It is vital to tailor sessions to the student, and I customise my lessons for each student I have based on their needs.

I years of experience, in ages. My main profession is inand group music lessons, within primary schools. I have many private music students - which I have now adapted to teaching, where needed, via skype/zoom or using other (Exeter Music Holiday School), which has been running for 7 years. We offer workshops and individual lessons, throughmainstream school holiday. I also play the flute in a Ceilidh band, play in the pit for panto, and have perfomed on various instruments (including vocals), for group concerts and individual performances.
As the 'WindI am having a wondeful experinece so far, to brush up on my basic Bassoon skills - which is my next planned venture.
Teaching the following instruments/vocals, in schools and pme to tutor to varying degrees, and examination levels (I generally use ABRSM, as the preffered exam bare the instruments I can provide lessons for:
Flute
Clarinet
Recorder
Guitar
Ukulele
Tru
Piano/keyboards
Violin
Cello
Singing
Music Theory
At music school, I rworld music, folk music, tales and art. Storytelling through percussion. Many workshops are adapted to the seasons, outdoor spaces so that and be inspired. Music really holds no bounderies and can be found everywhere.
I am constantly learning a new instrument, and take It keeps me on track with how it feels to learn and coping wi nerves. Empathy and connections is very it is, to feel that your child is safe and happy with a mentor. This is why I encourge the take-up of a 'free' initial lesson, so that you feel happy any specialist qualifications in working with children and adults with additional needs, I do have lots of experience. I have many wondefullly, within these spectrums, whom have taught me so much. I am more than happy to re-invent the wheel and nurture what is important to each person. My eldest son is a child with autism, and he is an incredibly gifted musicican, who learns by ear and repitition (even though he can read music prefectly well) - as this is how feels his way though it, and this makes his very happy. He has also happily sat .
