At the Cheongye Kwan, practitioners base their training on minimal movements with maximum effect and speed. The system works by using any technique that an individual finds effective in any given situation, whether kicking, punching, locking or grappling, then flowing effortlessly between them. The Cheongye Kwan is referred to as a Philosophy and not a style.
Albert Einstein said "you cant change a system by using the same kind of thinking that was used to create it". "To improve, we must change and evolve. We must adapt and exceed what we are taught" - Barry C.

I am an experienced English teacher who has just graduated from the University of Cumbria in June 2020. This means that I have the knowledge of the up and coming learning theories that could help your child to exceed their potential.
During my placement the country went into lockdown so I did the majority of my teaching online. This allowed me to become engaging and encouraging over online lessons and helped me to see the benefits of learning and teaching online.
It is because of this that I have decided to use my knowledge to help those who feel that they have been left behind at school because of the pandemic, or those who simply want to improve their English skills.
I pride myself on being able to work with children who find school challenging and I have the ability to engage these children with English and help them to understand the more complex themes that this subject can present. I have a lot of experience with students with SEND and I am able to tailor my lessons to each child.
Becuase of the personal nature of my lessons, I am hoping to help engage all students who are feeling left behind because of the lack of school and help them to engage with the English Langauge and help them to be fully prepared for next year.
I also have experience of working with G&T children, within the classroom and online, and pride myself on being able to push those children to gain their potential. I am particualry keen to ensure that these children still go on to gain the grades that they were expecting even with the lack of school.
My lessons will all take place online which means that there is no commuting time for anyone allowing for more lessons at a cheaper price. This also means that students who are shy or do not feel comfortable are able to work from the comfort of their own home and without the fear of meeting new people as they will be behind the safety net of the computer screen.

I've previously only tutored students in person so I'm excited to try out online tutoring classes! Here's a little bit more about me:
- I studied English Language, English Literature, Media Studies and Psychology at A-Level
- I enjoy reading (obviously) and watching thriller movies
- My academic interest is accent variations and how accents/dialects are represented in online news sources
Online tutoring should give me more freedom with my availability to fit around your busy lives! However, I'm more than happy to discuss in-person sessions in Lancaster on the following days:
Tuesday, Thursday, weekends* *please be aware that as a student, I will only be able to offer in-person sessions during University term-time unless cost-of-travel payments can be arranged.
I look forward to meeting with you! I'm very passionate about my subjects so I hope to make these sessions both fun and constructive!

Experienced Science, Maths, Computing Tutor for 11 + entrance, KS2, KS3, GCSE, A level
I hold Engineering & IT degree and had worked in various domains across education, banking, insurance, Aerospace & Defence, and currently doing part time consultancy for Gaming development. This wider experience helps me to give students a relevant glimpse of how their present studies can be applied in the wider world. I have over 9 years successful experience tutoring students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. The subjects I teach include: - • 11 plus KS2 -Maths, English & Verbal reasoning preparation • Science – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Mathematics (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Computer Science (Key Stage 3-4) • Design & Technology (Key Stage 3-4) I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a strong passion for teaching. I have gained experience working with whole class groups and individual pupils. I have also had the opportunity to work those with various additional needs which has enabled me to improve my skills in areas such as communication, behaviour management and maintaining a flexible approach to teaching styles to meet individual needs. I have supported hundreds of students, and their parents or carers, to identify strategies that enable the attainment above and beyond their subject target grades.
Tutoring Approach
My mission is to make a positive difference in the community’s children's lives through Education. I aim to encourage an enthusiasm for lifelong learning, for students of all ages, by unlocking learning potential and building confidence. Prior to the commencement of tutoring, I offer a free consultation session & free assessment to review the exact level of the students. Then with Students and their parents/carer, we review the current academic report with empathy and listen to the concerns surrounding the subject, including barriers to learning and discussion of appropriate learning styles. I subsequently construct an individual syllabus-specific course of study, aimed at achieving above and beyond the target grade. I provide regular feedback to parents/carers to ensure complete transparency and offer extra hours of tutoring if needed to cover the syllabus or exam preparation.
