I am a Spanish native and have lived and worked in Glastonbury for the last 9 years. I am a certified teacher (QTS) with a B.A. (Hon) in Educational Psychology from Murcia University in Spain.
I have extensive experience of teaching students of all ages and levels in Spain and the UK. Feedback from students and exam results have been excellent.
I tailor my tutoring sessions to the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I create a rapport with students, allowing them to feel at ease and build confidence in their own capabilities through support and encouragement. All this, while making learning fun and interesting, which I believe to be an important part in developing an ongoing passion for Spanish language and culture.
I take a deep satisfaction in encouraging students to fulfil their potential and see their growing love for Spanish language and culture. Through my coherent, motivational and interactive teaching I provide students with a strong foundation and enthusiasm for developing Spanish language.

I'm a Cardiff University graduate and a passionate, patient teacher. I have 9 years of teaching experience and training from exam boards across England and Wales.
Are you a GCSE student? For some of you, it’s exam season and you’re probably under a lot of pressure: from school, from family, maybe even from yourself. I’m here to help guide you through the material in a way that works for you. Whether you’re overwhelmed and we need to break it down into more manageable chunks, or you’re looking to challenge yourself for those extra marks with some intense revision and original ideas, I always tailor my sessions to work for my students’ unique needs. Perhaps you're a parent or guardian looking to support or challenge your child? Over the years, my students’ ages have ranged from as young as 5 in group settings, up to 19 for 1-1 sessions. Engagement is important and I know how to keep students actively learning. I always focus on building confidence, fostering curiosity and encouraging creative, independent thinking, as I believe these are the real foundations of academic and personal success. For KS3 students (11-14), it’s important to broaden their knowledge base by using longer texts from various historical periods, comparing and contrasting literary contexts and choices, and introducing analytical thinking and writing. This ensures students are exploring literature and their own writing through a rich, varied approach in line with national curriculum guidelines, leaving them well prepared to develop themselves further in the following years. If you have any questions or think I might be a good fit for you or your child, I’m happy to message or offer free web chats, so don’t hesitate to get in touch. I'd love to hear from you!

I have been in the field of education for some years. I was trained for teaching at the Primary Education level, specialising in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at the University of Salamanca (Salamanca, Spain). Apart from spending 4 months in two Spanish schools developing my internship.
My focus lies on ensuring that children balance learning with fun in the classroom and building confidence in their own ability, maintaining a positive atmosphere, using creativity and following a communicative and meaningful approach.
As a teacher, I encourage and develop creativity in all children, ensuring each activity allows them to develop their confidence to be independent and active learners, utilising their knowledge and skills in order to achieve their best and learn about the world around them. My aim is to make my teaching as fun and interactive as possible, enabling their school experience to be meaningful, enjoyable and motivating. I celebrate both the successes of the children and the mistakes that form a vital part of a child’s learning as they explore their own talents and abilities. I have been developing a creative, engaging and enabling learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.

Our Philosophy
Karate can be a complex subject. All clubs and styles offer something a little different. Our approach is to encourage a relaxed and sensitive body ennabling our students to use the attacker's energy to their advantage. We believe overt power and domination are not the most effective ways to deal with confrontation. It's all about remaining calm under pressure and using your body effectively.

Learning to play MUSIC not the drums is the most basic cornerstone of any teachers curriculum. All rhythms, grooves and exercises MUST be linked to music to have any value to the student. The different styles of music which we encounter in our musical journey present the same technical/philosophical challenges whether we are paying jazz, rock and afro cuban. What we practice and how we practice are far more important than the length of time spent in practicing. Think “quality not quantity” Remember also that the way in which we practice is the way we will play. Time spent investigating song form and structure will aid the student to “play the right thing at the right time!!!”
The ability to LISTEN is all important. By listening and responding to musical form and the other musicians the student will play as a musician not a drummer. Certainly this is what other musicians look for. Musicality will always win over technique. Strive for tone and touch in your playing. “Just because you can play something doesn’t mean that you should."
The ability to LISTEN when you practice is also vital. If possible record your practice and listen back. This can be very painful initially but is invaluable. Investigate WHAT you are playing and WHY you are plying it not what you think you are playing. The answers to these questions should be that it fits/enhances/is stylistically correct not that it is the latest /lick you have perfected.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THINK MUSIC AND YOU WILL PLAY THE RIGHT THING!!!!!!!!!!!

I am familiar with Drama GCSE AQA and Edexcel syllabus and can help with the written exam, set texts, how to write like a performer, designer, director and theatre critic as well as how to write a top band devising portfolio. I can help with practical work especially monologues and how to deliver a top band one using script analysis and breaking down the content and delivery. I can help you with any set text, just let me know what play you are studying.
I am familiar with A Level Theatre Studies and Drama Edexcel syllabus as well and can help with all components including Section A-C of the written exam - again, just tell me what set text you are studying and I can help. I am familiar with the practitioners, Stanislavsky, Brecht and Artaud and can link them to any set text for the director question or help with understanding them at a deeper level for devised group work. I have given 1:1 Brecht online classes to degree students who gained 1st in their Brecht presentations thanks to my teaching and support.
I am very happy to help with auditions and UCAS personal statements and application process to Drama degrees or Drama schools and currently support a fostered student with the SpringForward UCAS programme. They have appreciated my guidance and I would be happy to help with this as well.
I taught the Performing Arts BTEC and many of my students have gone on to work within the industry. I have directed many scripted and devised shows and would be happy to help directing groups nearby.
My students enjoy my teaching style and I try and make my classes fun both in person and online. I use warm ups focussing on the physical and vocal techniques. I love to see my students develop their performance skills and grow in confidence through Drama.
I can tutor English as well and taught it to GCSE for four years and KS3 for 20 years.

I have been coaching and mentoring for over 10 years and teaching for 6. I have a strong ability to motivate students academically and personally. At present, I am working with the AQA specification for GCSE and A-level - as such will be sticking to this within tutoring (I will not tutor OCR, WJEC or EDEXCEL - sorry). My specialism in tutoring approach is working with large amounts of information (making it stick with memory strategies) as well as developing stronger essay and argument skills. The core theories of the subject are revisited regularly and with emphasis. At minimum, I will tutor over a term - this will give enough time to build confidence in a skill, topic area or revision strategies.

Hello, my name is Tony and I am English Native speaker and teacher with a background in writing and philosophy who is based in the United Kingdom.
My background is in academic philosophy and writing but in recent years I became a qualified TEFL teacher as aell an English teacher for the UK cirriculum.
I have been able to combine my skills to help hundreds of students practice and develop their English language, particularly at an intermediate and advanced level.
I am a philosopher, author and freelance teacher who has spent the past two years travelling.
I became a teacher during this time as the work harmonized with my travels but have since found it to be an engaging and fulfilling vocation.
Before I became a teacher I worked as a freelance academic writer for a number of years, writing a multitude of essays at the university level.
Now, I am a well-seasoned teacher who has taught hundreds of student, an experienced writer, and a course creator. In my current career, I have found a way to blend everything that I have learned in philosophy, writing and teaching to be of the greatest possible help to my students.
