I am a French native lady, i was born in France, in Reims, a city close Paris. I followed my studies until the "baccalauréat" ( A level) and then i started accounting studies. After that, at 25 years old, i started Naturopathy studies, therapeutic massages and aesthetic and cosmetic studies. I worked for several years and lived abroad too for a while. Now i have been living in England for over 12 years. My life changed completely after a baby and a new country, new environment, new language, a big step for me, i had to adapt and it wasn't easy at the very beginning. So i understand all the difficulties you can have when you start a new language and how frustrating it is not being able to get through and not being able to express yourself. Also about the children, with my son, i know as well the complexity to learn a foreign language as first and second language too. My experience, training and approach to teaching make me a perfect fit forthe tutoring children I believe that my beliefs in exploring,experimenting and challenge as a way of revealing students’ unique talents and successand this is one of my main reasons for applying for this position as a tutor.
My two main passions in life are nurturing and creating art. The second is working with youngpeople to help them get the most out of the creation process as well and to feel the joy which I dowhen I make Art. From a young age, it was very clear to me that I would pursue a career as an Artist.
After gaining my University degree and having completed two diplomas in art and design from two of London’s best art schools where I developed my painting practice, I was ready to begin my careeras an Artist.
After my training, I had my first solo exhibition, I sold out of all thirty paintings which I spent one year creating. For some time, I enjoyed continued success and had multiple exhibitions, both Group and Solo and soon after I realised that I wanted to share my skills and passion. Since I have always enjoyed working with young people had previously worked part time in a Preschool as an Art Specialist, I decided to join a private tutoring agency in London, students would come to my studio inLondon and I would support them through their GCSE’s. Having enjoyed working with slightly older students so much, I decided to apply for an Artist in residence position at Garden House School in London.
At this point I had enjoyed teaching students from EYSF through to Key Stage 3 to 4 as well as myexperience giving ‘mindfulness art workshops‘ to adults in London’s members clubs; a programme I ran independently in a quest inspire young adults to maintain their wellbeing through the process of abstract painting.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all my teaching experiences thus far, the combination of being an artist,working with very young children where playfulness is at the heart of development and up to GCSEwhen students are thinking about pursuing a career in this wonderful subject. It became moreapparent that a job as an Art teacher where I could continue to apply and develop my creativity,motivation and ambition was perfectly suited to me.
Upon this discovery, I have begun to invest some more time and energy into helping work, after myposition as an artist in residence at garden House Primary School in London I began a counselling course which was online as a result of COVID 19, I also qualified as an Art Therapy Coach. I now look forward to using all my experince both as a professional exhibiting ar and teacher and helping children in develop and grow their artistic capabilities in the wonderful subject of Art.

I have been producing & directing documentaries for national and international broadcasting. My first documentary – CHOR-POLICE – had several international partners like NHK (Japan), YLE(Finland), PBS(USA), RTSI(Switzerland) and premiered at IDFA(2008). I founded my production company – SÉANCE ENTERTAINMENT – in 2007, with a partner from my film institute. We have been striving to reach the world of films with a touch of our own, aiming for a synergy of passion, dedication and creative application. One of our first projects – FAIRYTALE DREAMS – was broadcast by NHK(Japan).
Recently, SÉANCE pioneered 8K documentary in India, in collaboration with NHK (Japan). We produced a series of 3 films (2019-2022) exploring the visual spectacles of different regions of India – Thar Desert of Rajasthan, Golden Fort of Jaisalmer and lush backwaters of Kerela. And another 3 film series on the cuisine of India (2022-23) – in Lucknow, Kashmir and Bengal.
I was a key member of the Documentary Resource Initiative – a not-for-profit organization promoting creative experimental independent actuality storytelling in India. DRI hosts an internationally acclaimed forum – DocedgeKolkata, Asian Forum for Documentary – where I worked as Head of Incubation & Training nurturing documentary projects through mentoring by international professionals. I was also Director of DRI’s travelling documentary workshop – Documentor, and mentored in the Let’sdoc Fellowship Programme for early-career filmmakers. Another major involvement was in initiating and organising the Dhaka DocLab – first of its kind international documentary forum in Bangladesh (started in 2017).

I was lucky enough to know from the age of four that I wanted to be a teacher and have never strayed from that goal since. In general, I always endeavor to make Business as interesting and as accessible as possible! I try to fight the perception every day that Business is a 'boring subject'. With help from an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Business and lots of exam practice, I believe everyone find value in their Business qualification.
What separates myself from other tutors is the emphasis that I place on exam technique in my sessions. In my experience as a teacher I have seen students jump one or two grades ahead purely based on an improved writing style and improvement in their exam technique. With the new increasingly demanding A Level and GCSE qualifications now in place, this skill is now more important than ever. A student can learn their Business textbook inside out, but if they are unable to present their knowledge in the format that the examiner is looking for, they will not achieve their full potential in the qualification.
A Typical lesson of mine would include the following:
Memory Recall starter. Usually 4 minutes given to the student to answer 10 simple recall questions based on previous content. This is an excellent way to help students retain information they may otherwise forget over time.
Delivery of lesson content. A mixture of powerpoint slides, workbooks and other resources will be used here to deliver. I feel it is really important to have an example-heavy approach to delivery, backing up theory with real-life business examples that students can use in their own answers.
Exam Practice. This will typically include some modelling. Usually I will either model an exam answer and ask the student to complete a similar question afterwards, or a half and half approach will be used where I will complete part of the answer and the student will finish it.
Check exam answers. Together we will review the answers and suggest improvements to take forward.
