"Hello! As a final-year undergraduate student specializing in radiology, I bring both academic excellence and practical experience to tutoring sessions. Throughout my journey, I've dedicated myself to assisting peers in mastering fundamental concepts, both in classroom settings and during clinical placements. Whether teaching fellow students, patients, or staff members, I prioritize thoroughly understanding each topic. My approach involves patiently addressing questions and structuring explanations for clarity. Let's work together to solidify your knowledge and excel in maths, biology, chemistry, physics, and radiology. Throughout teaching, I explain the concept thoroughly while translating it into mainland terminology and engage my students by asking questions, and a quiz at the end to see how much information they have retained.

I have been a Science and Biology teacher for 28 years, including 5 years as a Head of Science, 5 years as an Assistant Principal, 4 years as a Vice Principal and 6 years as the Principal of a large secondary school.
My teaching experience has been across 4 counties and I was a lead practitioner coordinator for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT), leading a team of the best Science teachers across the country to support Science departments to improve their teaching. Another role that I had for the SSAT was as a school senior leader advisor for science, in which I visited many schools across the country to advise their senior leaders on how best to improve the achievements of their students in Science.
I am currently working as an education consultant and school improvement partner alongside my tutoring work.

Not long ago I was a struggling GCSE student. I was failing many of my GCSEs and was in dire need of help. I turned to a tutor who, through their genuine love and passion for teaching, helped me turn my grades around. I have always had a passion for teaching, not only academically but through tennis and music as well. I hope to be able to not only help students achieve the grades they deserve, but also to instill within them a love for learning and help them discover their interests!

Tutor Doctor Cambridge started in August 2010 providing 1:1 in-home tutoring in and around Cambridge. Since then we have grown and grown and have worked with over 2000 students in that time and also increasingly now work directly with schools who use our services to enable them to provide specific students with the tailored help we can provide. We set up in Norwich in 2021 in order to provide our services to students and schools in Norfolk. We tailor-make our service at every stage : an in-depth meeting with our families or school contacts provides the insights to enable us to find a tutor who matches the student’s needs: if the child really clicks with the tutor, they will get so much more from each session. All our tutors are carefully selected in person, we gain references and DBS checks and we seek tutors who not only know their subject of course, but have a passion for helping people learn. Our offices are in Saffron Walden where our admin and support team are based, with tutoring being carried out within a 10-15 mile radius of Cambridge and Norwich.
