She spends most of her time teaching others how to play the wide range of brass instruments that can be found in orchestras, brass bands and marching bands. For over 30 years she played in the 'Brighton and Hove City Brass' band where she started her musical career. This is not only a profession, but a hobby as well. Sian now plays in a ten piece ensemble 'Brass Fusion' performing with other 'ex bandsmen' on a casual, non-contesting, fun basis.
Although Sian primarily takes brass instrumental lessons, she does regularly run a theory class for all instrumentalists at one of the major schools. She also tries to cover basic theory points within her instrumental lessons as many players, not just brass, do not realise that once they obtain Grade Five practical they cannot move on until they have passed the Grade Five Theory exam. This can take quite a while if players have not covered any theory at all during their lessons. At present Sian has a 100% pass rate on all practical exams that her current students have taken.
Another string to her bow (!) is that she has run several recorder groups at one school as well as temporarily taking Year One music appreciation classes for a term. She also currently runs two brass ensembles at one of the major schools. Sian strives to help pupils obtain their graded examinations but at the same time keeping the playing fun and non pressured. The most important thing to her is that her pupils continue to enjoy playing and for it not to become a chore. To assist with the enjoyment of playing Sian runs a training band for anyone wishing to gain experience in group playing. All the terminology, harmony, sounds etc which are not experienced with individual lessons. The playing of 'non tune' parts where counting and listening are essential.
Sian is also Musical Director of one of the southern England's brass bands, where she regularly appears with them at local fetes, concerts, and garden parties. She is also a committee member for the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

My last post as a Learning Support Teacher involved working with children with an identified Special Need eg: Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalcula and/or Behavioural Problems. Also EAL children as I am also a qualified TEFL teacher.
I love helping children to learn and to begin to understand and master concepts that have previously challenged them.
I am patient and always allow the child to learn at their pace to ensure they have mastered each stage fully.
I teach in a fun way to engage those children who may find learning more challenging and to ensure progress.
I aim to foster a desire to learn, to problem solve, to question and to succeed.

Hi! My name is Huda H. and I am from Crawley, West Sussex. I graduated from the University of Northumbria. I did a bachelors degree on Bio Medical Science. I am currently a Maths and Science Tutor. I have experience in tutoring female students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Science for three years. I started tutoring primary students during my GCSE'S. After sucessfully completing my degree, with a second class honours, I wanted to make teaching as my profession. I have been able to help students who were facing a lot of difficulties in understanding the subject by breaking it down step by step making the topic more interesting and easier for the students. I have been able to help my students get through their exams and achieve the best results. I am currently working part time as a Maths Teacher for year 11 students at Oxbridge Online School. I conduct my lessons online via zoom/google meets and I do in person tuition at my home. I provide presentation slides for my students for each subject i teach so that they can refer the slides in the future. I make sure I go step by step when teaching my students. The exam boards I am currently aware of are Cambridge, Edexcel, AQA and OCR.

Welcome to my music tutoring profile! I am an experienced piano teacher who is passionate about sharing my love for music with students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're an absolute beginner or an advanced musician, I am here to help you unlock your musical potential. With a deep appreciation for all genres of music, I particularly have a soft spot for jazz and classical music. These genres have shaped my own musical journey and have allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of music theory, improvisation, and composition. I aim to instill the same appreciation and enthusiasm for these genres in my students, while also exploring other styles according to their interests. As a seasoned performer, I bring a wealth of practical knowledge and performance techniques to my teaching. I understand the challenges and joys of live performances, and I incorporate this experience into my lessons. I am also a firm believer in the power of education and self-directed learning. I encourage my students to explore their musical interests, set personal goals, and develop their own unique musical voice. When it comes to teaching, my style is enthusiastic, fast-paced, and varied. I believe that a dynamic and engaging approach fosters a love for music and accelerates the learning process. I utilise the Paul Harris simultaneous learning method, which integrates multiple aspects of music learning, such as technique, theory, sight-reading, and ear training, simultaneously. This holistic approach ensures that students develop a well-rounded understanding of music and are really able to see their progress in each practice session. The first lesson, which lasts 45 minutes, is completely free and comes with no obligation to continue. This allows potential students to get a feel for my teaching style and determine if it aligns with their learning preferences. For the convenience of my students, I am more than willing to travel to their location in Southwater and the surrounding areas. I believe that learning in a familiar and comfortable environment can enhance the overall experience and facilitate better progress. Let's explore the world of music together and unlock your full potential. Get in touch today to schedule your free introductory lesson!

Personal Description:
I’m a practicing sound artist with a Masters from the Royal College of Art in Sound Design. Sound has always been my passion, incorporating creatively across many types of artistic practice. I studied Fine Art at Brighton achieving a First Class Honours. My thesis at the Royal College of Art was about percussion in social contexts, which was awarded a distinction and published. I am an award wining sound artist (University of Nagoya Prize, 2016) who has exhibited in many prestigious institutions (IRCAM Forum, Paris 2020 & 2021, London Design Biennale 2021). My work communicates science to audiences using sound, particularly young adults and children. Because of this I am often thinking about fun and interesting ways that children and young adults can learn. I continue to work now on sound design, recording and working on personal projects using sound as a medium for enquiry into science and philosophy.
Tutoring Approach:
As a people person I compliment everyone’s innate curiosity for sound. I easily adapt teaching to fit the needs and personality of each student. I try to keep a balance between teaching essential skills whilst also encouraging the student to problem solve creatively and intuitively allowing for efficiency whilst also keeping lessons fun.

PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION
I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting. I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them.
As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. I offer private lessons to photography students and any other individuals who would be interested in 'how to' technical skills sessions, getting support in college and university studies or in developing a photographic body of work etc. and would be in need for some expert advice. I am passionate about photography and about teaching everybody to learn how to `see` and `think` creatively through the lens of a camera but also without it!
GREEK LANGUAGE TUITION
I am a Greek native speaker coming originally from the beautiful island of Crete. I have been living in England for the last 15 years and I have been teaching privately for the last 9 years. I hold a PhD in Art and Communication and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. These qualifications provided me with a very good command of the English Language. I am very capable of playing between Greek and English and can help English speakers have a wonderful experience of my native language. I welcome all to explore the magic of Greek language and discover a huge variety of English words that come from a Greek root.
As a teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. My lessons are tailored to your individual needs depending on the specific type of learner you are, your learning rythm, the frequency of our sessions etc. My aim is to give you the necessary support you need to achieve your goals that you set by making the most of your potential.

✅ 1:1 lessons right from your living room!
Primed with my degree in English Literature & Education and my experience as a school TA - I decided I would help children find their story-writing bug! 🐛
I've now been inspiring children to write stories & poems in Steyning, Shoreham & Henfield for five years and I have big plans for the future.
In fact, I just trained with the Bristol Dyslexia Centre and I can't wait to share some brilliant new writing tips & tools with you!
What will my child learn?
Your child will unleash their inner storyteller or poet!
They will learn how to plan, structure and edit their writing. They will power up their poetry with similes, metaphors and rhyme. And they will develop their vocabulary to really make their stories sparkle!
My focus is always about celebrating children's creative ideas. Once they're feeling motivated and ready to write, then I gently guide their grammar and spellings.
How do you support dyslexia?
Although I'm not a specialist dyslexia tutor, I'd love to make my lessons as engaging and inclusive for your child as possible.
They might like to use a laptop or a tablet to type, or to record their ideas vocally, and that's great! I'll use a visual timetable to help them stay on track. Plus, I'll give them extra thinking time, reading time and writing time.

REBOUND THERAPY is the phrase that describes the specific 'Eddy Anderson model' of trampoline therapy:- exercise therapy which uses trampolines to provide opportunities for movement, therapeutic exercise and recreation for people across the whole spectrum of special needs. IT IS MORE than special needs trampolining or disability trampolining; Rebound Therapy can provide a huge number of potential benefits. THE TRAINING COURSE teaches logical progressions of movement patterns designed to encourage the student to continually develop whilst at the same time experiencing healthy exercise and enjoyment. FOR THESE REASONS, the Rebound Therapy training course is widely accepted as the logical starting point for trampoline coach training - even for those who do not intend to work with disabilities. The training course has been continually developing since it was first introduced in 1972 and is recognised both nationally in the UK and abroad.
