About Classical Piano

The piano is a stringed, acoustic instrument in which the strings are struck by small wooden hammers. It is played on a row of keys which the performer presses in order to make the hammers strike the strings. It was invented somewhere around the year 1700 in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori.

Most modern pianos consist of 88 black and white keys, from which 52 white and 36 shorter black keys, which are raised over the white ones. Classical pianos are split into two different types: grand piano and upright piano. This is a difficult question to answer because it entirely depends on how you decide to go about it. If you want to learn on your own you’ll have to buy a piano which won’t be cheap.
