I have five years experience as a private maths tutor. I provided in-person lessons to students aged 11 and above while working with a London tuition agency from my second year of university. Since March 2020, I have been a self-employed full-time maths tutor providing 30 lessons each week to secondary school and 11+ students.
I am able to tutor 11+, KS3, GCSE, A Level Maths and Further Maths for a wide range of exam boards. I am also able to tutor international students for exam boards such as IGCSE, IAL and CIE. I have tutored in person and online.
Since March 2020 I have tutored almost 2000 lessons, so I have excellent knowledge of the syllabus and many resources to use.

My Teaching Experience: I have been a secondary school mathematics teacher since I graduated from the university till now. I have taught KS3 to KS5 Mathematics. Through being a teacher, I gain invaluable delivery skills in teaching Mathematics and learn how to foster an atmosphere encouraging students to think and ask analytically. In the meanwhile, I have been a Mathematics tutor teaching students studying KS2 to KS5. Therefore, I have extensive experience in teaching mathematics and I am extremely familiarize with the Mathematics curriculums of all levels. I fully understand the common mistakes made by students in each topic and how to help my students master the mathematical skills. How do I teach? I am a very patient, organized and responsible tutor. I must plan my lessons with clear focuses and design engaging learning tasks that tap my students’ interests and experiences. I use mathematical games and a variety of examples to help my students understand different abstract mathematical concepts. All my students like the way I teach them very much and find it very useful to help them master mathematical skills in long term. Besides, I always refer to the examination papers of different schools and past papers of public examination to set a series of tailor-made exercises for my students to do in every tutorial lesson and after the lesson. All of my students find the exercises very useful and help consolidate their mathematical knowledge and concepts a lot. I must set the learning objectives and learning progress for each individual student. It helps my students know what they are going to learn clearly and push themselves aim higher. My exemplary teaching and assignment for learning practices have empowered all my students to learn and excel in the school assessment and public examinations.

Disciplined college student with a focused ambition to work within the education field.
Currently studying for 3 A levels (Physics,Maths and Economics) at The Hills Road Sixth Form College , I have built a sound knowledge of quantitative analysis, and problem solving skills which I learnt through studies and assessments. With a passion for teaching combined with workplace skills learnt through my previous tutor who helped prep me to become the teacher I aim to be one day, I am well placed to start a career within education and add value to the industry.
As a recent sitter of the GCSE Exams I believe i can help students with nifty tips and tricks to help them ace what the examiner wants. I am currently studying 3 A levels of Maths, Physics and Economics at The Hills Road Sixth Form.
As a 17 year old I believe I can build a connection with them as a friend and make them feel comfortable as I aid them in their studies.

ABOUT TUITION AND I:
Methods of Teaching:
The vast majority of my tuition is learner led, meaning that each lesson evolves organically. Adhering to rigid lesson plans assumes a preconception of how to teach a certain topic to a learner. However, every learner is unique and should be treated as such, and so every lesson also needs to be unique.
At B. Tuition, it is about finding whatever works for your child. For example, if your child is competent with methods but struggles significantly with confidence we can work on a particular topic before it is taught in the classroom. That way the content of every lesson she walks into is already comprehended and ready for application, and she can then use the lesson to practise and reinforce. This builds her confidence. Lessons cease to be a worry and she can enjoy the www.***
With different learners it may be more beneficial to reinforce and consolidate work that has been taught in class. If your child is sitting exams within the next 6-9 months, it would be more valuable to review and work through past exam papers, identifying where marks were dropped, evaluating why and re-teach relevant topics. Past papers would, of course, be set for homework by me.
Why tuition is so necessary:
One contemporary issue of the education system is that although many secondary teachers are talented in the subjects they teach, they do not appreciate the struggle that some of us face if a subject does not come naturally. I have spent years honing my craft into making complex secondary maths and science and achievable for everyone.
Since 2011, I have been able to change the lives of hundreds of students, facilitating them in attaining their educational goals. If you are in need of private tuition, please give me a call and we can talk a little more about your specific requirments and how I can be of service.
A little more about me:
I have been tutoring since 2011, beginning as a teaching assistant for Kip McGrath Chelmsford South and progressing on to be a tutor at Kip McGrath Shenfield. My degree; Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies, Upper II with Honours 2014 has allowed me to access the knowledge and understanding of learning and child psychology that is implemented in every lesson. Since then, I have worked as a secondary supply teacher, Kip McGrath tutor, private tutor, SENCo, ENCo, intervention specialist, behavioural consultant and a classroom teacher. References available on request.
Safeguarding Policy:
All lessons are to be conducted in a family room, with the door open at all times. A responsible adult needs to be at home throughout the entire duration of the lesson and within earshot. This is for mutual safety and security.
I have an Enhanced DBS check, registered with the update service and happy to give my consent and certificate number to any parent to check the status of my DBS online as a certificate is only as good as the day it's printed.
Mileage is calculate at £1 per mile over 5 miles from Flitch Green. So if you live in the centre of Braintree, it's www.*** miles from Flitch Green so my rate would £45 for tuition and £4 totallying £49 for the hour.
Thank you for reading and I'll look forward to hearing from you soon!

My name is Lydia J. ( also known as " The Maths Specialist"). I am a creative, outgoing and experienced tutor with a contagious passion for maths whose mission is to infect every student I meet with the love for maths.
I have been teaching maths since I was 17 and I am 44 years old now. It's been 27 years since I first started teaching maths. If you or your child struggles with maths and you want results then you have come to the right person.
The study of mathematics, like the Nile, begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence - Charles Caleb Cotton.
These days, anyone who hears me say, "I love maths" thinks I've always loved maths but that's far from the truth. I struggled with maths and even failed my GCE in maths ( an equivalent of GCSE).
So many teachers tried teaching me but I just could not grasp the concepts because they used the same methods I struggled with at school and never worked on finding out what the cracks were in my knowledge. A house built on a faulty foundation cannot stand the test of time.
One day I met the greatest teacher in the world, in my opinion, because not only was he able to teach me maths but he made me love maths. The quote above pretty much sums up how he taught me. He started from the basics, no assumptions made and he used all sorts of new methods to teach me. He showed me that there were so many ways to learn any topic.
I retook my GCE in maths and got the highest grade possible, won an award in maths, studied engineering, taught other students that were tagged "hopeless in maths" and got my daughter ready for her GCSE in maths at a very young age.
It doesn't matter how 'bad' any one is at maths, if they have a desire to learn and time, I can teach them. I am not just any other maths tutor. I am one that produces results.

Hi there! I'm Nikkyy, a super enthusiastic math tutor with 2 years of experience, and I just love making math awesome for kids and students aged 11 to 14.
I totally get that math can sometimes be tricky, but that's where I come in! In my two years of teaching, I've learned all the cool ways to make math fun and easy to understand. I believe every kid is unique, so my lessons are all about finding what works best for them.
Why pick me? Well, I'm not just passionate about math; I've seen students go from feeling stuck to saying, "I got this!" Plus, I can do one-on-one sessions or group lessons online, and I can even get this certificate thingy (DBS) to make sure everything is super safe.
Got a few slots open now, or we can plan for September 2023. Shoot me an email at ***@*** and let's talk about making math a blast for your awesome learner!
Cheers,
nNikhila

I have great experience teaching within the class setting and tutoring, both online and face to face, teaching a whole class, small groups and 1:1. I started my teaching career working as a reception class teacher, teaching 4 year olds, a role with a huge amount of responsibility, providing a nurturing, caring environment whilst also providing a love of learning. Since then I have taught in years 1 to 4, teaching maths, English, science, history, geography, art and personal, social and health care. Due to the covid pandemic and school closures I taught for several months online, teaching the class as a whole, in small groups and some one to one sessions also. Following on from successful tutoring of one family they offered me the position of nanny/tutor and for the past 2 years I have been a nanny for a family of 5 children, teaching the eldest 4 on a daily basis. Due to a chenge in my own family circumstances I am no longer able to offer the overnight and weekend hours that they desire so am seeking a new challenge of online tutoring. I am professional, reliable and passionate about teaching. Tutoring enables lessons to be not only specific to an individual child's needs but also specific to their interests, making learning more interesting and creating an enthusiasm and pride for the child, taking ownership of their achievements. Please do get in touch if you have any questions at all. Thanks, Rebecca.

My name is Alexander, and I am glad to present you my short biography and academic qualifications:
I have a degree of master in mathematics from Moscow State University (Moscow State University), which gave me strong fundamental knowledge in the field of mathematics. After that, I was a researcher in the project of Marie Curie in Sweden, where I was engaged in research in the field of information search. This allowed me to develop data analysis skills, the application of statistical methods and immersion in urgent problems of information technology.
Then I trained at the Part III program on mathematical statistics at the University of Cambridge, where I expanded my knowledge and skills in the field of statistics. During my studies, I also received a certificate from Judge Business School in entrepreneurship, which emphasizes my ability to apply mathematical and statistical knowledge in practical situations.
My teaching experience includes work with various age groups and levels of students. I conducted individual classes and led group classes, where I tried to adapt my approach to the educational needs of each student. My teaching style is based on understanding the unique needs of each student, building a trusting relationship and creating a stimulating and supporting educational environment. I strive to apply various methods, including active educational methods, examples from real life and practical tasks, to help students better learn the material and develop their skills.
With over a decade in the educational field, I've had the privilege of teaching students from distinguished universities such as MIT, UCL, Stanford, Oxford, and UCLA, amongst others.
My teaching methodology is rooted in engagement and interactivity. The lessons I design are not only informative but also highly engaging, ensuring that students are not just passive listeners but active participants. I utilize the Miro board, a versatile collaborative platform that allows for real-time interaction and feedback. My approach is problem-based, which means I present problems adjusted to a student's level of expertise, challenging them to think critically and apply their knowledge. What sets my method apart is the real-time correction of student mistakes, which ensures instant feedback and accelerated learning.
To maximize the interactivity and effectiveness of our sessions, students are expected to have a device similar to an iPad and a stylus like the Apple Pencil (though not necessarily Apple-branded). This setup allows students to engage with the material fully and benefit from the interactive elements of the lessons.
My certification and continuous professional development ensure that I stay abreast of the latest pedagogical techniques, ensuring my students receive a world-class education.
