Hi, I am Umer Driven Chemistry Teacher offering ‘eight’ years of experience Motivated to deliver essential principles of chemistry by teaching reasoning, and scientific methods to achieve higher academic scores.
Before starting the lesson immediately I like to book a free 30 minute session with the student to get to know them and identify what they want to learn first and most importantly their school curriculum!
I also like to do a quick quiz to identify which type of learner they are so my sessions are able to capture their attention and make sure that they enjoy Chemistry as a subject but also ace their exams!

My name is Asif K., and I currently hold a Bachelors in Chemistry with Chemical Engineering.
I went into the education sector and attained my PGCE and QTS through a SCITT program called GORSE SCITT. This is where I learnt the fundamentals of how to teach core subjects with efficiency and outstanding progress. I use a mix of videos and quick-fire questioning with examination prep to ensure the student can articulate their knowledge in the subject. I have experience teaching Chemistry, Physics and Biology to a GCSE level and Chemistry (A-level).
I have 3 years tutoring and teaching experience with a valid DBS check. Additionally, I can offer the first lesson free, this is to ensure we can devise a study plan which will maximise your true potential through a growth mindset.

Can tutor in most subjects. I'm a friendly tutor and love working with children. All children learn in different ways with different methods and i adapt my tutoring for each child to make them enjoy the classes and get the most out of the 60 minutes. I've taught ages from 4 all the way up to 24. I graduated from University of Leeds in May 2022, getting a 2:1 in Biology, and have worked as a supply teacher in schools all around Leeds since Janurary. I start my teacher training in september and have worked as supply to gain extra experience. I'm very understanding of different situations and backgrounds children can come from, and adjust teaching materials to fit each individual. I can help with homework and if they need extra help with worksheets i can find some for the right module and topic. I know 4 languages and play loads of sports. I have seen many of my students go on to attain Gold Awards in the Chemistry Olympiad in Year 13 and had several achieve the top Roentgenium Award within the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge Lower Sixth (C3L6).
Equally, I have taught many students who have found Chemistry a real challenge; I have an impressive record of success in bolstering their confidence and allowing them to achieve beyond their initial expectations. Having taught over 1500 students at GCSE/IGCSE I have never had a student fall below a Grade C; this despite teaching for many years in a non-selective, London comprehensive. Over 70% have attained top A/A* or Level 8/9 grades.
One of the most experienced A Level teachers within the country, I have taught over 750 students; over 90% attaining Grade C or above, with over 70% achieving A/A* grades.
